My dad actually commented on this on the way back too. Not cool >.
I know he’s young and what not, but that’s a big error, like I don’t know why he’d think you couldn’t hear the guitar when you can. Maybe he couldn’t hear it from the desk and assumed no one else could, but that’ because it was coming from the amp, not the PA like everything else.
Before the last song, the student that was running the sound desk for us came and told me that no one could hear me and to turn myself up, so I did. Talked to my mum afterwards and apparently I was perfect and then when I turned it up I completely drowned out the singer. The annoying part is the fact that he was wrong, and all he had to do was sit in the crowd and he would have realised that I was completely fine -.- But, it was still a fun concert.
And I’m so tired, I NEED to have enough sleep because tomorrow is gonna be a big day. I’m also paranoid about what amp I’ll have access to tomorrow, seeing as the school’s too main amps are broken, and those are really the only two that sound good.
“Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”— Calvin Coolidge, was the 30th President of the United States.
So Step-Brother’s friend is in the loungeroom, I waved, but it was only a half wave, she said nothing, I said nothing, I got a drink and she was looking at me, and I’m all just like “Act chill” and pretended nothing happened. Oh god, awkward.
